Maine Water Utilities Association (MWUA) is proud to announce that the 2021 recipient of the Jeff Nixon Distinguished Service Award is being presented to Mr. Michael Rogers, Superintendent of the Kittery Water District. The Jeff Nixon Distinguished Service Award may be bestowed upon an eligible member of the Maine Water Utilities Association who has demonstrated in the opinion of the selection review Committee that they have provided two or more of the following:
- A career of service to a Maine Water Utility
- A demonstrated dedication and commitment to Maine Water Utilities Association over a period of ten years or more.
- Outstanding contribution to the water works profession in Maine
Jeff Nixon from the Portland Water District, the man this award is dedicated to, was like Mike Rogers in many ways. Both Jeff and Mike are an amazing representative of our profession. It is very fitting that Mr. Rogers was chosen for this award. He is a quiet, resourceful leader. When help is needed in the Southern part of the State one of the first people other utilities reach out to is Mr. Mike Rogers. His experience, willingness to assist along with his infinite knowledge is invaluable to all that know and rely on him.
Congratulations Mike Rogers from MWUA and its members for being awarded the 2021 Jeff Nixon Distinguished Service Award.
