On Sunday, December 4, the Kittery Water District was pleased to enter a vehicle in Kittery’s annual holiday parade. Truck K-7, which is our tool / crane truck was chosen as the holiday mode of transportation. Our foreman / equipment operator, Todd Curtis, was good enough to clean and spit shine the truck, while Superintendent Mike Rogers was in charge of the wreath decorating. Trustee John Perry acted as driver, and Assistant Superintendent Carl Palm sat in as safety coordinator and candy launcher. The KWD was well represented, in full light array, as we kept pace behind the Kittery Fire Department. It was great fun seeing so many customers, neighbors and friends lined along the parade route, enjoying the holiday spirit. We hope that this will be just the start of a long tradition of the KWD taking part in future holiday parades.
